What to Wear Consider the following when choosing your outfit
Do you wish to follow a theme?
Is the shoot for a specific occasion?
Have you got an idea of how you want your portrait to look?
We cater for all occasions including: sporting themes, engagements, hobbies, religious occasions & much more.
When considering what to wear remember how you would like your portraits to look.
Formal/Traditional portraits are generally taken from the waist up. Casual/Contemporary portraits are generally relaxed poses, which may include your whole body. So you are required to dress from head to toe.
Also you are required to remove your shoes so don't forget about your feet!
We recommend warm, rich colours when choosing an outfit, these generally photograph better. Black and white clothing or denim jeans and a plain t-shirt also photographs well. Avoid wearing patterns especially when there is multiple subjects in the portrait, these can be too distracting.
Also you may want to bring your child's favourite character outfit, for that special portrait!
Don't forget to bring any important things that you would like to appear in the portrait eg: props for hobby shots, costumes, Grandma, etc... Bringing your child's favourite toy can help to make your child feel more settled and you will have a beautiful memory to keep forever.
For a Location Shoot
If you would like your portraits done at a park or a specific location for something different or a special occasion, I charge extra for the sitting fee simply for the travel time and the extra setup that is required.
However everything should still be just as comfortable as if it were in my studio.
When choosing a location outside also be aware of the time of day that you want your photos as this can effect the look you are trying to achieve and the equipment required.
What you wear and bring still apply so please read the above information
